Katrina
You know the scene in the Princess Diaries where Mia is just trying to pass gym by hitting a baseball and ends up knocking out the gym teacher?
That’s about the level of coordination we’re talking about here.
But what my dear sister Katrina and I lack in actual hands-on land experience (we prefer water sports), we make up for in nostalgic attachment and a sentimentality for sport itself. Katrina adopted Liverpool (in 2015 before they got super good again, for the record), lived in Paris long enough to have her heart stolen by Paris Saint-Germain, and is dedicated Georgetown Hoya continually hoping that maybe, eventually, they’ll be good again (THIS YEAR IS OUR YEAR).
Elena
Elena was exposed to sports at the tender age of 5… and just as soon as she got in, realized picking flowers next to the goal post was more interesting and less dangerous than, you know, actually participating.
That attention to minute detail would come in handy later on, when she threw herself into avidly researching sports, mainly international competitions like the Olympics and World Cup. A reformed Mardi Gras reveler, Elena supports the New Orleans Saints, whatever EPL club is close to relegation this season, and of course, Kylian Mbappé in whatever he does.
